As part of the Aflatoun program, youth co-facilitators spent a day with abandoned children sheltered at the Department of Social Welfare Services – Reception and Study Center for Children (DSWD-RSCC) to bring them Christmas cheer.

In November, our agency joined the rest of the world in celebrating Child's Rights Day. Our local commemoration of the rights of the children was held at the Quezon Memorial Circle, a national park and shrine right at the heart of Quezon City.

After a month-long election period in September, the agency youth council has a new set of members for 2012-2013, elected by sponsored youths from all service areas.

Two sponsored children from the agency won the 2011 CI Art Contest with the theme “Traditions in My Community.” Dyessa Tubo won 3rd prize in the 12-16 age category while John Kenneth Bruce garnered a Jury Prize Award in the 4-7 age category.
